The President’s Design Award is the nation’s highest recognition of exceptional people of this country, who have played a part not only in creating objects, images and spaces that have made lives more interesting and more comfortable, but have also trail-blazed our pursuit of excellence in design.

The Church of St. Mary of the Angels has received the President's Design Award in 2006.

MASS PROCEDURES UPDATE
+ Ushering
With effect from 13/14 Feb, church wardens will no longer usher members of the congregation to empty seats after the Opening Prayer.
This is to show respect for the Word of God when it is being proclaimed, and to reduce distractions by the time the First Reading begins.
We do hope that all parishioners are able to come on time for mass to be seated, and to make their own way to empty seats as may occasionally be necessary.
We thank you fpr cobntinuing to cooperate with the wardens in the church and in the carpark – they are all volunteers doing their best with the happy situation of an ever growing congregation!

+ Children in Church
We are delighted that parents bring their children for mass and we welcome them as Jesus does. We do hope parents continue to:
- ensure that children do not play with toys or run about in church;
- arrange for hungry children to be fed outside of church, either before or after mass;
- help their children learn what it means to be respectful and collected in church;
- discreetly bring crying or agitated children out of church for a short while to calm them down before returning to their seats.

We also hope that othe members of the congregation remain charitable and understanding, as parents are often already trying their best to help their children behave appropriately.

Parish Scene

FR CYPRIAN CONSIGLIO AND FRIENDS
Fr Cyprian Consiglio OSB Cam returns to St Mary’s to give his fourth performance of his music to the parish. This time, he will be joined by friends from various faith traditions, who will be performing music from or inspired by their respective traditions. Fr Cyprian will also be performing songs and music from his latest album “My Soul’s Companion”. Come and join us on Friday, 19 Feb from 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm for an evening of beautiful music and friendship, and for an exploration of faith through the medium of music. Seating will be provided on a first-come-first-served basis
