Charismatic Renewal + Our life = Ongoing conversion by Holy Spirit!

In the last session of "Why am I a Catholic?" on last Saturday, Oka just brings up the session about The Charismatic Renewal in the Catholic church, which I always love to see when all the Catholic people feel the changes in their life when they are experiencing the Holy Spirit when they are praying or singing, even when they are talk about God to other people, I feel their passion and desire about God, to encounter God's love always in their love.

But during my time when i serve in God's field until this day, I realized it's not only that things which can change people life. There are so many people that I see, it doesn't mean that I judge them or saying that I am the right one, but seems like their just stuck with the all the sensation when they are praying during praise and worship time, when they're all singing, even playing music during the praise and worship time, and here's still a lot of things that I dont want to mention about all the things that sometimes I think that we're no different with other denomination. In the last few years before I came to singapore, I just remember that I just felt too numb in my heart in the sense that all the praise and worship session is become only a show session for me and become only a things that you have to do it because its prayer meeting time. All the Catholic sense that I've been looking for in the Charismatic Prayer group is slowly gone.

Since I've been active ministered in worship ministry, actually I've been looking the essence of Catholic Charismatic Praise worship. I've been looking for the things that can be an identity of the Catholic Praise and worship even in the same contemporary music like the most Christian songs.

During this journey in the God's field, and serving until this days, I found that my spirit and my faith has grow, through all ups and downs of my life, through all the question that I ask and all the answer that I received, through all the things in my life, only one thing that can make a different in the music and Catholic Praise and worship, it's about our relationship with Jesus in silence. It's not about the good song that we sing, or great music that we play, but its about how you really make all the instrument become a tool to brings us more closer and closer to Him, and more intimate with Him in a silence and let the Holy Spirit take over all the things that we already surrender in Him so we can be His tool also to glorified His name by doing everything for others in His love.

After about 6 years in the ministry, I just realized that it's not the instant conversion that we have after the baptism of The Holy Spirit, it's ongoing conversion that we must go through in our life. Being one of the people in the Charismatic Renewal, its not because we are a good singer, it's not because we are the good music player, its not because we are a good preacher, but it's just a matter because we are using our gift like playing music, singing, preach to be the witness of God's work in our life like all the apostle did before in the bible.

Let us together being a modern apostles today which can be a witness and testifying His love in the world out there, in our daily activity, and allowing Holy Spirit be our guidance in everything that we have in our life.

Have a blessed day everybody....GB !!!
