✴️ Topic: Understanding Games, Gamers and Game Addiction
by Nicholas Lim, Ruth Lim & Poh Xing Yong
Are you concerned about your children playing games all the time? Is it just a passing phase or something more serious? Be equipped with the necessary framework to better understand games, gamers, game addiction and game dependency.
Time: 7.30pm - 9.30pm
Venue: St Clare Hall
✴️ Topic: My Growing Teen within the Family
by Br Collin Wee, FSC
Adolescence can be a time of uncertainty for both the adolescent and the family. Most adolescents reach adulthood without too much trauma. As adolescents face their own maturational difficulties, those of their parents may be re-awakened, either from their own adolescent experiences or in relation to current life dilemmas.
This talk will provide an opportunity to consider different approaches to working with our teenagers' problems from a family-systems perspective. Psychological realities affecting the growing teenager, and the positive role parents, teachers, care-givers play will be discussed.
Suitable for: Parents with Teens at home, catechists, youth leaders, anyone working with youth.
Time: 7.30pm - 9.30pm
Venue: Main Church
