Franciscan Digital Ministry

Our Ministry was born out of necessity during the pandemic in early 2020 when physical worship had to be moved online. Since then, we have worked towards creating a virtual space that transcends national boundaries in terms of reach, connection and community building of the faithful so as to lead people closer to God and each other while we remain physically isolated.

Working closely with the parish Communications Team, the Franciscan friars, and in collaboration with various ministries and volunteers of St Mary's, we produce digital content like online Masses, daily liturgies, as well as other faith-related videos, and provide digital support for online streaming and parish-related activities.

Luminaire Photography Ministry

The Luminaire Ministry started out as a single photographer in 2005 taking photos of church events to publish in the bulletin and building the media library with meaningful videos and pictures.

Subsquently a handful of photographers were recruited to grow the team. A couple of years later, the photographers saw that they could also use their photos to draw attention to the Gospel, and thus the Ministry was formed on 3 October 2009.

"Luminaire" was chosen as the name for the ministry as the word has its origins in light. Photography is not possible without light, just as the talents of the photographers would be nothing without Christ, our Light.
