Faith & Evangelisation

The word KERYGMA related to the Greek verb κηρύσiωm (kērússō) (pronounced "kay-roos'-so") meaning to proclaim or to announce. The kerygma is the message of the Gospel; the apostolic proclamation of salvation through Jesus Christ.  It is the core and heart of our faith.

Kerygma, catechesis and evangelisation are the main activities of the Faith & Evangelisation Office. Kerygma is the first proclamation, Catechesis is the systematic instruction on the Faith, Evangelisation is to bring people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

The Faith & Evangelisation Office develops programmes for children, teens and adults of all ages, making faith formation a lifelong journey.

Friar Mike's Message to the Catechists

The pandemic has set us back and lessons were stalled while we had to regroup on new strategies and tactics. Despite the challenges, our catechists still managed to progress and carry on with God's work, inspiring our children and catechumens to continue to grow in God's love. Thank you for your service and sacrifice. May God continue to bless the work of your hands!

A child’s journey in the Atrium begins at the age of 3 years.

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is a comprehensive faith formation programme for children starting at 3+ through to 12 years old – where the child encounters the Good Shepherd and starts to develop a close, personal relationship with Jesus. This catechesis is firmly grounded in Liturgy and Scripture and is framed by Montessori principles of education. Trained catechists present essential “lessons” and guide the child at “work” with sensory-rich material in a sacred space called the Atrium.

Light of Love
(Special Needs)

IMG-20180128-WA0004.jpg

Catechism for children with special needs was introduced to include these precious children of God into the community to learn and grow in their faith and love for Christ. Parents and siblings are encouraged to journey as a family and reinforce Christ’s teachings at home. Stories are told, songs are sung, and games are played, so that through role-plays and rhymes, the children explore the art of communicating and radiating Christ’s love while interacting with the people they encounter
