About Our Guided Church Tours
St Mary’s Church Tour Ministry warmly welcomes visitors to experience our church beyond its physical beauty. Through guided storytelling and reflection, we share the meaning behind the church’s architecture, symbols, and spaces—revealing how each element points us to God. Whether you are Catholic or simply curious, we invite you to journey with us in discovering the richness of our faith.
Our Franciscan Heritage
St Mary of the Angels is a Franciscan parish, inspired by the spirituality of St Francis of Assisi—a life rooted in simplicity, humility, and peace. Our church’s architecture reflects this spirituality, drawing us into a space of openness, light, and contemplation. Through the tour, you will discover how these Franciscan values are woven into the very fabric of our church, and experience St Mary of the Angels in a deeper and more meaningful way.
Tour Highlights
During the tour, you will be guided through key spaces within the church, including:
Architectural and historical background of the church
Saint Francis of Assisi and Franciscan spirituality
The Main Church & Sanctuary
The Piazza, Bell Tower & Stations of the Cross
Garden of Peace leading to the Shrine
Time permitting: The Columbarium (B1) & Wake Rooms & various interest points within the church compound.
Each stop offers a deeper insight into the meaning and purpose of these sacred spaces.
