Get Movin’ with St Mary’s! FAQs

When does this event take place?
When is the registration period?
Event Duration: The "Get Movin' with St Mary's" Event is from 19 September to 31 October 2021.
Registration: Last day for registration is 24 October. If you are a parishioner, register early in order to collect a Journey Pack which includes a free Catholic200SG souvenir as we have only 700 souvenirs to give away (ALL have been redeemed).
Walking & Submission: You can Get Movin' any time after you register, but submission of photos will be from 4 October to 3 November 2021.

Who can participate?
All are welcome: Parishioners, non-parishioners and non-Catholics. But only parishioners of St Mary's (above 18 years old and registered at St Mary’s in MyCatholic.sg) who register are eligible to collect a Journey Pack (fully redeemed).

All registered participants can take part in the contest and collect the mystery gift from St Mary's.

How much does it cost to participate?
It is absolutely free! The main purpose of the event is to encourage family and community bonding and to appreciate God's creation in the process. You are welcome to contribute your love offering (any amount to defray costs) when you come to collect your Journey Pack and Mystery gift.

I already have a Catholic200SG souvenir, can I join without requesting for one?
Sure, you can choose that option when you register. Or you can also take one and give it away to a stranger you meet along the route - share the warmth of our faith to ignite and shine with the love of Christ. Just ensure when you are capturing the photos at designated photo points that you have one Catholic200SG souvenir on hand.

I have registered but the journey packs have run out. Where can I get a Catholic200SG souvenir?

For non-parishioners, what can I do if I do not have a Catholic200SG souvenir?

Do I have to follow the exact route indicated?
No, the routes are only suggested routes. You only need to reach the photo points and take a photo with your Catholic200SG souvenir.

What is this Relive app?
The Relive app combines performance tracking data from cyclists or runners with Esri digital maps and makes a short animation video in 3D that shows about a minute's worth of highlights of the athlete's treks. You can see these Route Overview examples at the Main page.

Do I need to indicate which route I am doing during registration?
No, you do not need to select your routes during registration. Simply plan and cover the route at your own time before 31 October.

Can I do all 5 routes in one trip without restarting at St Mary’s each time?
Sure you can! As long as all designated photo points are captured. You may plan your own route, beginning at St Mary covering all photo points as you head to all 5 churches. Don’t forget to take all 5 designated photo points at St Mary first, before you head out, and in total you will need to have taken 24 photo shots.

Can I change my souvenir selection after I have submitted my registration?
We’re sorry, but due to overwhelming responses and limited stocks, we are unable to change the requested Catholic200SG Souvenirs. You can try to swap it with another parishioner.

I have registered, but I can’t make it to the collection time that I booked, what can I do?

Photo Submissions

How do I submit or share my photos & videos?
We will provide more information and instructions regarding submissions by 4 October 2021. Thank you for your patience!

What if I encounter any technical difficulties in submitting my photos online?
Simply submit the form first and we can do a physical photo verification when you come to collect your gift.

What do I need to do if I wish to participate in the competition for special prizes?
If you intend to enter any of the contest categories, your photos must be submitted online using the Google form.
